Psalm 34:1-3
“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.”
Praise is how we worship God vocally and bodily. Praise is an audible and/or visual demonstration of declaring how great He is, how marvelous His works are and how thankful we are to Him. Having a rough day? Don’t feel like praising God today? Do it anyway! I promise that if you start praising God, declaring His goodness in your life, what He has done for you, thanking Him for His blessings, you will feel a change in your soul (mind, will, emotions). Even if no one else is around to hear, you can encourage yourself in the Lord by praising Him! He certainly deserves all glory and honor and praise!
What are some ways you can praise God today? You can start by “counting your blessings” and thanking Him for them. You can say things like “Hallelujah,” or Holy, holy, holy are you Lord.” Tell Him how good, kind, awesome, wonderful, patient, and loving He is and thank Him for Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for your sins. Declare His marvelous works in your life and in creation. Thank Him for the Holy Spirit, healing, deliverance, power and freedom! You can praise Him by turning on music that glorifies God and sing to Him. You can even dance before Him while you’re singing! Any time of day is a good time to praise the Lord….let His praise be CONTINUALLY in your mouth! Hallelujah!!! Thank you, Jesus!!!
