Ephesians 6:12
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places”
My sister and one of my daughters encountered difficult situations this past week. Both included crazy accusations, various forms of bullying and unfair mistreatment by others.
My sister and I went to “war” for her situation and the outcome was what she wanted. Did we use weapons and battle strategies? Yes, but not with guns, knives or swords. We battled in the Spirit through prayer, declaring the Word and fasting.
My daughter is still in the midst of her situation, so I’m constantly reminding her that it’s not people she’s fighting against. It’s the enemy and he’s trying to distract her and discourage her from her God-given purpose. We will continue to pray, fast and speak the Word. I know the answer and resolution is on the way.
If you’re facing a situation that doesn’t make sense or is full of lies and deception, know that you don’t have to go at it alone. Without saying a word to defend yourself or taking any defensive action, you can defeat the enemy and be victorious. Go to battle, first donning all your armor that God has made available to you. Then go to battle by praying, fasting, declaring the Word aloud, worshipping and placing the outcome in the hands of the Lord.
No matter the situation, be at peace and rest in the trustworthy arms of Jesus. He has already fought the battle for us and we are victorious!!!
Study Ephesians chapter 6 and equip yourself with everything you need to fight the good fight. And remember, you can find the answer for everything you need in the Word of God….everything!
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”
