All for His Glory

1 Corinthians 10:31

“So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

Worship is not an isolated activity that we participate in only at church or during our prayer time. Worship is a way of living!

You were created to bring glory to God! Whether you are washing dishes, changing diapers, cleaning house, caring for patients, entering data, teaching students, serving customers or taking college classes, do it all in the name of Jesus and bring glory to God!

Every time I am sorting and washing laundry, which is a very tiresome task for me, it is an opportunity for me to practice what I’m preaching. Instead of being irritated or complaining, I begin to praise God for supplying us with SO many clothes. I thank Him for modern inventions, like my washing machine and dryer. I encourage myself to have that servant heart that He desires for me to have. I am serving my family, which in turn is actually serving Him. I am caring for what He has given me with a servant heart and a happy attitude. That brings Him glory!!!

Are you trudging through your day filled with tasks that you don’t care for or maybe even hate? Stop right now and turn your eyes to Jesus. Begin to thank Him and praise Him for your job, your kids, your husband or whatever task that you are called to do. He’s your Provider and Strength! He’s given you what you need to succeed! Change your attitude and your countenance! Let the love of Jesus and His heart flow out of you so that everyone around you is affected! Let your world see Jesus in you!

We are called to make the name of Jesus great! That means whatever you do, do it with all your mind, as unto the Lord.

Thank you, Father, for the tasks you have given me to steward. Help me to carry them out with a good attitude and bring you glory.
