When accepting a new job, there are several factors we consider. Location, hours, pay and insurance benefits, to name a few. We look into the benefits package to see if we think what is offered and included is worth it. We place high importance on things like health insurance, life insurance, retirement fund, paid days off, sick leave, maternity leave, health savings account, etc. We realize that payment for a job is more than just the salary…it’s everything that’s included. Sometimes those benefits kick right in the day you start and sometimes, there is a 30, 60 or 90 day wait.
Do you know that when you become a Christian, you gain immediate access to a vast array of benefits?
Psalm 103:2 says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits.”
What are some of those benefits? Continue reading chapter 103 and you will see what the Psalmist has listed…
Forgiveness of sin
Divine healing
Redemption
Crowns of loving kindness and tender mercies
Divine satisfaction
Renewed youth
Those all sound great to me!
Everything Jesus has done for us though His birth, life, suffering, death, burial and resurrection made available to us an unending “bank account” of everything and anything we need to live a Godly and victorious life in Him and through Him. Once we become born again, it’s up to us to make the withdrawal of all the benefits He offers.
Health insurance benefits can’t help you unless you present your insurance card at the doctor’s office or hospital. Vacation days simply accumulate if you never intentionally plan to use them…sometimes you even lose what you don’t use! If you don’t know you have money in your 401K, how will you ever retire? Do you see what I’m getting at?
What benefits have you been unaware of, have forgotten about or not believed in that are available to you? Make the withdrawal today and get the victory in every area of your life!
