Hebrews 10:23
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:”
Have you ever found yourself super irritated because someone is copying you or imitating you? Maybe you’ve said the words, “She’s only doing that because she saw me do it first!” Or “He’s only doing that now because because he heard that other guy is doing it.”
My question is, “Why do we get so bothered?” Are we afraid that another person is going to do something better than us and get the credit or the glory? Well…that’s pride…ouch.
If imitation is the highest form of flattery and a person is copying something that you are doing that is good and edifying, especially to the Body of Christ, why be mad? Instead, be glad! You are in line with the Hebrews 10:23! You have provoked someone to good works! It’s not a competition!
Remember, we are ONE body, working together. Let’s continue to provoke one another to good works without any jealousy, malice, anger or pride. Let’s join together, hand in hand in support of one another and be about our Father’s business!
