Fearless Friday

I John 4:18

“There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love].”

God’s love is a perfect, pure love. The Bible says, “God is love.” That is what He is. He loves you so much that Jesus actually died for you. There is no “karma” in the kingdom of God. There is no “what goes around comes around” in the realms of heaven. There is no reason to fear any punishment or expect the “shoe to drop” when you are covered by the blood of Jesus. His love covers a multitude of sins and short-comings. All those mistakes you made, they are gone. When you come to Jesus, repent of your sin and purpose in your heart to now live for Him, everything changes…because He loves you with a perfect love.

That seems so easy, right? But it is. The hardest part is just believing. Can you believe someone loves you that much? Oh but He does! So tell fear to get out of here and allow God’s love to invade your life.

Father, I thank You for Your love. Because of Your love, I am safe, secure and do not live in fear any longer. Anxiety and stress must go in the presence of Your love. Help my unbelief and help me to walk in the fullness of Your love today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
