Wednesday Worship

Acts 15:25-26

“Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!”

Paul and Silas began praising God in a very dark and scary situation and look what happened! The ground literally shook and their chains fell off and they were made free. And everyone around them was freed, as well! Praise is a powerful weapon!

Praise lifts us out of the oppression of the enemy and frees us from thinking only about ourselves. Our eyes turn to our Creator while praising Him and the whole world fades away. We turn any battle in the spiritual realm over to Him when we praise Him.

Praising God is declaring who He is, what He has done and what He is able to do. Praise is a weapon against evil and the enemy. We can fight our battles through praying and praising in the Spirit.

If you find yourself in a battle today, whether that battle is in your mind or something at work or in you home, turn your eyes on Jesus, mediate on His goodness and start declaring how great He is! Allow God to break those chains and free you in His presence!
